Omnimin®

£ 16.95
Omnimin® is an ideal multivitamin for anyone who wants a strong vitamin and mineral supplement with antioxidants and other nutrients. The composition of Omnimin® focuses on strength and bioavailability, using activated vitamins, minerals and organic lecithin. Omnimin® is also suitable as a multi-vitamin for vegetarians. It is a 100% vegetarian product that is registered with The Vegetarian Society in England.

Based on research

Omnimin® is a very comprehensive multivitamin - with all 28 vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other essential nutrients. Omnimin® has been voted Best New Health & Nutrition Product (best new health food product). The award ceremony took place at the Natural Product Scandinavia event in 2013; this is Scandinavia's leading international business exhibition for natural products, health food, natural beauty and organic products.  Omnimin® has also won the award for the Year's Vitamin at the Danish Health & Science Awards 2018.

New color and fewer auxiliaries

Omnimin® has been optimized and as one of the first companies in Europe, we can now offer a new natural tablet coating. This means that technical aids like titanium dioxide are no longer necessary. The color of the tablets is therefore less yellow, due to the fact that it is based on natural dyes from safflower and lemon. Some of the other changes include chromium and selenium, which now contain respectively 150 μg (before 125 μg) and 160 μg (before 125 μg) per two tablets. The content of Vitamin B6 has also been changed to 14 mg (before 12 mg) and molybdenum to 100 μg (before 25 μg) per two tablets. Copper and manganese, on the other hand, are reduced a little. It should also be emphasized that the source of calcium is now only from a plant-based source (algae).

With phospholipid blend for efficient use

Omnimin® contains a phospholipid blend. Phospholipids are important components of the body's cell membranes, and they contribute specifically to the efficient use of the fat-soluble nutrients in Omnimin®.

Activated Vitamin B

As mentioned, a great emphasis is set on optimising the body’s use of nutrients in our products. In Omnimin® this is reflected in the fact that activated B vitamins are used. The activated forms of the B vitamins are used in order to ensure effective use in the body. For example: in the case of  vitamin B12, the most commonly used form, Cyanocobalamin, is converted in the liver to Methylcobalamin before it is absorbed. In Omnimin® we utilise pure Methylcobalamin and so the vitamin is readily absorbable and does not require conversion by the body. As a source of folic acid, we use the activated form, Methylfolate. It also includes the activated forms of Niacin and Pantothenic acid.

Suitable for Vegetarians

Omnimin is registered with The Vegetarian Society, which guarantees this  product is 100% vegetarian. The Vegetarian Society is located in England, and this is the oldest vegetarian organisation in the world, founded in 1847.

OmniVegan® B-Active

£ 22.25
Supplementation with OmniVegan® B-Active provides high dosages of all the B vitamins - in combination with the essential nutrients Choline and Inositol. B vitamins are a group of water-soluble vitamins each of which plays a role in cell metabolism. The group of vitamins B consists of a total of 8 water-soluble vitamins, and the vitamin B group includes all essential, water-soluble vitamins - except vitamin C. B vitamins are well absorbed from the small intestine and distributed from here where they are easily assimilated in the body.. Due to  their role as co enzymes in the organism's metabolism, the B vitamins are present in all body tissues.

Make sure to use all the B vitamins

Because the B-vitamins are water soluble, they are with few exceptions virtually non-toxic - even in large doses - as any possibly excess of these water-soluble vitamins do not accumulate in the body but are rapidly excreted via urine. It is always recommended to take the entire B-vitamin complex, as a whole because they work in synergy with each other.  This is probably also the reason why the B vitamins naturally often occur together in foods containing B vitamins.

Activated forms

Nordic Nutraceuticals’ focus is on optimising the body's bio availability of nutrients in our products, because of this we predominantly use activated B-vitamins in our product OmniVegan® B-Active. "Active" in the name OmniVegan® B-Active is merely a reflection of the fact, that the product is largely based on activated B-vitamins. The activated forms used are Riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), Vitamin B6, Folic acid (B9) and vitamin B12. By using primarily the activated forms of B vitamins we ensure an effective bio availability of these nutrients in the body. For example, in the case of vitamin B12, the most commonly used form, Cyanocobalamin, is converted in the liver to Methylcobalamin before it can be absorbed. In OmniVegan® B-Active we use Methylcobalamin thus ensuring an optimum readily absorbable form, which does not require conversion in order to be ingested. As a source of folic acid, we for the same reasons also supply the activated form, called methyl-folate. Omnimin also includes the activated forms of niacin and pantothenic acid.

Choline and Inositol

OmniVegan® B-Active also contains the essential nutrients Choline and Inositol, both often grouped with the B vitamins. Choline and Inositol are located mainly as part of the structure of the so-called phospholipids throughout the body, which are complexes of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Phospholipids are important building blocks of cell membranes and are thus essential for cell function in all body tissues and organs.

With phospholipid blend for efficient bioavailability

OmniVegan® B-Active contains a proprietary phospholipid blend. Phospholipids are important components of the body's cell membranes, and they contribute to the efficient bioavailability the nutrients in OmniVegan® B-Active.

Also for vegetarians and vegans

OmniVegan® B-Active is registered with the organisation The Vegan Society, that have  approved all ingredients in this product. OmniVegan® B-Active can be consumed safely by both vegetarians and vegans. The Vegan Society is located in England and is the oldest vegan organization in the world, founded in 1944.

OmniVegan® Multi

£ 21.49

Calcium source in OmniVegan® Multi

The calcium source in OmniVegan® Multi is organically bound calcium from haval, which is also used in our other multivitamins. It provides better bioavailability. At the same time, the calcium source contains a little magnesium, whereby the magnesium source in OmniVegan® Multi is a blend - with magnesium oxide.

With phospholipids

Sunflower Lecithin is now also included in OmniVegan® Multi, similar to other multivitamins from Nordic Nutraceuticals. Sunflower Lecithin contains useful phospholipids that contribute to the efficient utilization of the other nutrients.

Vegan Vitamin D3

OmniVegan® Multi contains a vegan source of vitamin D3 from, specially selected wild-grown lichen. Lichen consists of a fungus and an algae that co-operate in a form of symbiosis.

Retinol from a non-animal source

Both vegetable carotenoids and retinol from animal sources belong to the group of A-vitamins. Retinol is the most effective and biologically active form of vitamin A, while the carotenoids must be converted to retinol in the body to have the same effect. The most common form of vitamin A in supplements is retinol. However, most vegan-certified products supply beta-carotene and other carotenoids, but it is worth noting that OmniVegan® Multi contains retinol from a non-animal source, which our registration with The Vegan Society confirms.

B12-vitamin in the form of Methylcobalamin

As a vegetarian and vegan, it is essential to ensure that one obtains enough vitamin B12. OmniVegan® Multi contains Methylcobalamin, which is a more easily-absorbed and biologically more active form of vitamin B12 than the traditional form Cyanocobalamin. Methylcobalamin works more actively, and dosage requirements are therefore lower than for traditional vitamin B12. OmniVegan® Multi includes vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K and the minerals calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, iodine, manganese, chromium and selenium. Below are a number of physiological effects of vitamins, minerals and trace elements - all approved by the English and European health authorities. The mechanisms of action mentioned below are just a sample of what nutrients can beneficially do (this is not a complete list). OmniVegan® Multi is registered with the organization The Vegan Society, which has checked and approved all ingredients present in OmniVegan® Multi. Registration in this context is your guarantee for a 100% vegan product. The Vegan Society is located in England and is the oldest vegan organization in the world, founded in 1944.

OmniVegan® Q10

£ 19.75

A potent highly absorbable Q10

Coenzyme Q10 also known as ubiquinone or ubidecarenone, is a vitamin-like substance. It plays an important role in the body’s energy supply mechanism converting fats and sugars into energy. All body cells require a supply of Q10, with the heart and muscle cells having a particularly high demand. CoQ10 levels may decrease with age, and be lower in patients with some chronic diseases. OmniVegan® Q10 is made with high quality Coenzyme Q10. Lecithin is added as a transport carrier for Q10, ensuring a high uptake in the body. In the 100 mg version vitamin C is also added as it supports the function of Q10. OmniVegan® Q10 is highly competitive in terms of price and quality. This has made OmniVegan® Q10 one of the top Q10 brands in Denmark.

European approved health claims

Vitamin C has numerous approved health claims. Of those most relevant in relationship to OmniVegan® Q10 are:
  • Vitamin C contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
  • Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

OmniVegan® Zinc 3

£ 9.75
OmniVegan® Zinc 3 contains 20 mg zinc per tablet from 3 easily absorbable organic sources: zinc L-pidolate, zinc bisglycinate and zinc citrate.

Immune system and antioxidant defence

Zinc helps the immune system to function normally. In cases of zinc deficiency several important functions of the immune system are inhibited - eg. the development of the immune system's cells and antibodies. Zinc is part of the body's antioxidant defence which protects the body's cells against oxidative stress. Our bodies are constantly exposed to free radicals which are extremely aggressive molecules that can cause oxidative damage to the cells in our body. The free radicals are formed during the body's normal combustion processes, but also when exposed to for example, sunlight, cigarette smoke, air pollution and hard physical activity. In order to neutralise the free radicals and avoid oxidative damage we need a good and varied supply of antioxidants.

Bones

Zinc helps maintain normal bones. This is because zinc forms a structural part of the bones, while zinc also supports the formation of bone tissue because zinc activates important bone-forming enzymes.

Eyes, skin, hair and nails

Zinc is part of several enzymes necessary for the conversion of vitamin A, which is crucial for the eye’s ability to see. Zinc also helps to maintain normal skin, hair and nails.

Hormone system

Zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction. The formation of sperm cells is dependent on zinc. Zinc also helps to maintain a normal testosterone level in the blood.

Also for vegetarians and vegans

OmniVegan® Zinc 3 is a vegan product and registered with The Vegan Society, England. Therefore the product can safely be taken by vegetarians and vegans.
